The Mk 43 is definitely the most popular version of Iron Man that we build. The suit first appeared in the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, and was the first suit I ever built by myself, so I have a special place in my heart for this particular model.

Every costume that we make is hand crafted out of EVA foam. We use EVA foam because of its durability, it's lightweight, it is cost effective, and it is very versatile. The pictures below are of the suit pieces in the "Raw foam" form. After the raw foam is assembled, we move on to sealing the foam. Because foam is a naturally porous material, it tends to absorb paint and makes the paint look dull. To combat this, we seal the foam pores with a combination of mode-podge and Plasti-dip. Once the raw foam is sealed, we then move on to painting and installing the electronics.
This is Godfrey Washington. He's bought like four different costumes from me and he likes to go out and get them professionally photographed. He's agreed to let me use his photos because they are just so well-done and do a great job of showcasing the craftsmanship and care that we put into these costumes.
Here are a few shots of a custom painted mk 43. The paint job is based off of the concept art for the Mk 16 called "Nightclub" that appears in the Iron Man 3 movie.
This is Greg Tognotti. He's the first client that ever commissioned me to make an Iron Man suit. I love the smile on his face in this photo. I love getting feedback from my customers.
